ZANU-PF National Youth league executive member, Cde Vusumuzi Moyo, is spearheading a poultry project that will help alleviate poverty through youth empowerment in Matabeleland South Province.
In line with the ruling party’s goal of not leaving anyone behind, the poultry project will see all the province’s districts and wards benefiting.
Its inception was witnessed at a sports tournament hosted by Umzingwane Member of Parliament Brigadier General (Rtd) Levi Mayihlome at Dula Ward 11 of Umzingwane district in Matabeleland South province on Sunday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the tournament, Cde Moyo said the projects are meant to empower young people.
“These projects are meant to empower the youths so that they vote for His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa. We are moving around Matabeleland South covering all districts, leaving no one behind.
“These are going to be pass-on projects among wards in all districts. The district which benefited first in Matabeleland South is Umzingwane District,” said Cde Moyo.
The poultry project will be passed on amongst all the 19 wards in Umzingwane. Umzingwane received broiler chicks and broiler feed as part of the project.
While reiterating the ruling party’s agenda of not living anyone behind, the national executive youth league member said the project will today be heading to Bulilima District.
The donation was also witnessed by Brig-Gen (Rtd) Mayihlome, Senator Themba Mathuthu, Provincial Youth league chairperson Moses Langa amongst other leaders.
