THE Zanu-PF Youth league will throw a bash in Mashonaland Central next week on Friday to celebrate President Emmerson Mnangagwa and Zanu-PF’s electoral victories.

Zanu-PF Youth league secretary Cde Pupurai Togarepi said the celebrations, to be held at Chipadze stadium in Bindura, will be a national event and all youths from the country’s 10 provinces are expected to attend.

“We intend to do our national celebrations as the youth league in Mash Central where a full house is expected considering that the province has been the ruling party’s stronghold since independence in 1980,” he said.

“It is with profound joy that we would like to salute our revolutionary and visionary leader President Emmerson Mnangagwa for being confirmed by the Constitutional Court as the President of the Second Republic. No measure of expression or superlatives can capture the joy that the nation feels on the ascension of President Mnangagwa to the highest office where we know he will excel, not only because of his vast experience but positivity and energising work ethic.”

Cde Togarepi said the victory celebrations would mark the beginning of an era in which youths will actively participate in President Mnangagwa’s vision to make Zimbabwe great again.

“As the vanguard of the party, the youth league is ready to serve the President and help in uniting this great nation of ours. We are ready to work for a better Zimbabwe under his time tested and enduring leadership,” he said.

Cde Togarepi said no amount of vilification or mudslinging would deter them from following and working towards the goals that have always been expressed by President Mnangagwa which is to put the economy first ahead of politics and all other things.

“As the youth league, we are inspired to be led by such a luminary, one of the last giants of our historic struggle from colonial bondage. The President embodies our nationhood and his policies will certainly make Zimbabwe a force to reckon with on the continent. The country is in safe hands,” he said.

Apart from the celebrations, President Mnangagwa will soon embark on a countrywide tour to thank the people for voting for him and Zanu-PF in the July 30 harmonised elections and will take the opportunity to outline Government’s programme on devolution of power.— @esinathy_essira
