ZAT to host schools expo

The Zimbabwe Academic Trust (ZAT) will next month host a schools expo in a bid to provide information about private schools under one roof. Founding director Ms Nakai Munikwa said in a statement they are expecting independent schools across the country to attend. “We are going to host a schools expo which is aimed at providing groundbreaking pertinent information about schools to parents and guardians in one convenient location on the 28th of next month and we are expecting independent schools to attend,” she said.

Ms Munikwa said the organisation was expecting all headmasters of the schools to attend so that they can answer parents’ questions.

“It is a good platform for parents to compare school levies in relation to the quality of the curriculum they offer.

“The best part is that it is all happening in one location to save parents time and resources from driving around the country from school to school to get information,” she said.

A parent who attended the organisation’s expo last year, Mrs Usher Chitumba, said the expo helped her to get information about private schools.

“I never used to understand what private schools were offering that was different what other schools until I went to the expo.

“It is informative and I have found a perfect school for my son who is very good in mathematics,” she said.
