ZIMBABWE Aquatic Union president Mary Kloppers said they are looking forward to an exciting swimming season with a number of national and international events lined up.
Some of the provinces have already started competitions in their respective areas.
The national association released the 2013 to 2014 season calendar which features a number of major competitions, including the Youth Olympic Games to be held in Nanjing, China, in August next year.

The national events start this month with a national sprint gala to be staged in Mutare.
The gala is slated for October 19 and is expected to attract clubs from all active provinces.

Mutare, Bulawayo and Harare will be hosting their provincial championships between November and December.
Zimbabwe will also be hoping to compete in the Junior All Africa Championships set for Zambia between end of November and early December.

Kloppers said they were going to hold more galas.
“At the moment we have got several tours that people have to qualify for. Every tour we have is based on qualification so at the moment we are just going to host more galas to create as many chances as possible for them to qualify,” said Kloppers.

“Those that have left are still associated with us and as they will be swimming in their universities we will get their results.
