THE Zion Christian Church (ZCC) Moria in Zimbabwe is set to establish a state-of-the-art regional centre in Mutema, Chipinge District, in a development expected to strengthen church activities and leadership training across Manicaland Province.
The proposed ZCC Mutema Regional Centre will serve as the official provincial hub for the church, bringing together branches from across Manicaland for prayer meetings, worship services, conferences and workshops.

Beyond serving as a place of worship, the centre is expected to become a hub for church development and capacity building, providing training programmes aimed at equipping members with both spiritual and practical skills.
Among the courses to be offered will be Church Administration, Home-Based Care and Pastoral Studies, among others.
Church leaders said the initiative is designed to empower members to better serve both the church and their communities.

Speaking on the project, Mutema Assembly resident pastor, Pastor Joseph Mazengwa, described the development as a major milestone for the church in the province.
He said the centre had long been needed and will significantly enhance the church’s operations in Manicaland.
“This is a dream come true for the people of Mutema and the entire Manicaland Province. This centre will strengthen our faith and our service to the community,” said Pastor Mazengwa.

Construction of the facility is expected to begin soon, with the first foundation stone set to be laid by Bishop Simion Mazengwa, marking the official commencement of the project.
Funding for the multi-purpose centre will be mobilised through contributions from church members, well-wishers and the Josiah Foundation Trust, a registered Private Voluntary Organisation operating in Zimbabwe.
At the time of publication, an application for a building permit was being processed by the Chipinge Rural District Council, with approvals expected in the near future.

Once completed, the regional centre is expected to become a key spiritual, educational and community development hub, serving thousands of church members from across Manicaland and reinforcing the church’s commitment to faith-based leadership development and community service.
