Office are raring to go and are inviting anyone with evidence of people disenfranchised on the voters roll to come forward and avail theevidence.
Zec chairperson Justice Rita Makarau said all who believe there are anomalies should come forward as her office was waiting for the Registrar General of Voters Mr Tobaiwa Mudede to advise them of his deployment plans for the 30 day voter registration exercise.
Mr Mudede said they were tidying up issues to do with voter registration last night. The two said this after meeting Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai to discuss preparations for the elections and the 30-day-voter registration exercise at his offices at Charter House.
Addressing journalists soon after the meeting, Justice Makarau said the commission was now waiting for the Registrar General of Voters to be ready with his deployment plans.
“We will be able to start as soon as he is ready,” she said as she urged people to come forward with evidence on where they think there are anomalies on the voters roll so that they could be addressed. If you know people whom you think have been removed from the voters roll, give us their names and their wards then we will clean up the voters roll,” she said.
Mr Mudede said they were finalising on some issues on the 30 day voter registration.
“We are going to be finishing tiding it up tonight (last night) and it would be advertised as soon as possible.

“We are getting ready and you know when we are on the ground we don’t play. We will soon be on the ground,” he said.
Mr Tsvangirai’s spokesperson Mr Luke Tamborinyoka described the meeting as fruitful saying a lot of concerns that were raised.
Mr Tamborinyoka said one of the concerns was the issue of two voter educators per ward. There were concerns on whether the two educators would be able to cover the whole ward considering the limited space and latitude especially in the rural areas.
He said the other concern was on the availability of affidavits on the ground.
“The Prime Minister also used the meeting to update the commission on decisions taken by Cabinet regarding voter registration. No one should be disenfranchised by the time of elections,” he said.
