Zenzele out to maintain streak

Innocent Kurira, Sports Rporter
ZIFA Bulawayo Province Division Two debutants Zenzele Tigers want to maintain their good run when they visit Lobengula Stars tomorrow afternoon.

It has been a dream debut season for Tigers, who sit fifth on the league table with 32 points from 17 games.

Head coach Gerion Nyathi has been impressed with his charges this season.

“This is our first season in Division Two and we are still babies, but l have been more than impressed with the way the boys have handled themselves. In the first half of the league, we were very good, but the second half has not been so perfect although we have still managed to come up with positive results,” said Nyathi.

Tigers head into the game against Lobengula Stars after a 2-2 draw against White Birds in their previous game.

“We stumbled a bit last week, but we are confident of bouncing back to winning ways come Saturday,” he said.

The team will bank on striker John Siyameja, Bhekinkosi Ndlovu and Nqobile Hlabangane to lead them to victory.

Lobengula Stars are in 13th position, just one point above the relegation zone and the push to avoid relegation means they will be no pushovers in tomorrow’s encounter.
