Multiple unanswered questions spring up probing WHY? some schools score poor results
and even zero percent pass-rate in the country.
I tasked myself to some special research, investigation, sampling and analysing findings in rural and urban areas across the country. Findings across the country cultivate confidence and ability for me to write this special article. Let me itemize and possibly expand some factors influencing this concerned situation to fees and non-fees payers.
1.School geographical location, for instance, remote rural schools, lack of significant exposure to diversity of teaching and learning resources.
2.School leadership is another factor. Some school heads have limited education management knowledge due to being adamant to study further. Hence, schools pass-rates remain stagnant or even deteriorating year after year.
3.Incompetent teachers – Nowadays most teachers are much more into money than work.
4.Teaching personnel – Failure to understand the curriculum attributes, hence unable to interpret syllabuses and apply relevant teaching methods.
5.Indiscipline in schools is a headache that robs timetabled opportunity for school rationale’s core business contributes to poor results.
6.School personnel’s lack of knowledge on correct preparation and readiness for examination sitting beforehand.
7.Usage of textbooks without teachers guides and syllabuses.
8.Various health, affections experienced by either learners or teachers.
9.Under done projects also contribute to examination poor results.
10.Uncompleted syllabus topics
Ladies and gentlemen, these are some of my research and interviews, findings among many. Remedies are possible with above mentioned negatives to schools whose management want golden improvements.
