A special meeting has been called by the select committee set by Vice President Kembo Mohadi to resolve issues about the Zimbabwe Ex-Combatants (Zexcom) Foundation Fund Limited.

The meeting, which is scheduled for March 28 at Zanu PF Headquarters, is expected to hand over the fund to the ex-combatants.

In a statement, Zexcom said the meeting was part of President Mnangagwa’s broader vision of assisting war veterans’ businesses and properties.

“The committee intends to brief Zexcom members of the historic removal of Zexcom from provisional liquidation on 19 June, 2019 in a ruling by Justice Charewa; putting the Zexcom house in order and charting a way forward for the entities,” reads the statement.

The committee comprises Cdes Jonah Moyo, Zivai Mboko, Desmond Mapfumo, David Sithole, Shelter Mpofu, Stefan Mumbiro, Emmanuel Mutetwa and Peter Matambo.
