The release of the album has been deferred for long owing to some sticking issues with his recording stable, the Zimbabwe Music Corporation, but an unfazed Zhakata could not starve his fans an longer.
The “Mugove” hit-maker has been consistently holding shows where he obliges his fans with both new and old songs.

The latest in that line of shows is the gig Zhakata is set to hold at City Sports Bar in the capital on Saturday where he has promised to deliver one of his finest acts this year.

“We are glad that we will soon announce the dates of its release at some of our shows,” Zhakata said.
He promised revellers who will attend the City Sports Bar show a memorable music voyage, that will be spiced with new songs off the eight-track album like “Dambura Mbabvu”, “Misodzi Yerudo”, “Ndiri Uto”, “Mazvita” and “Muvhimi Nyakushava” among others.

Zhakata said he was also going to play the original version of the song “Dambura Mbabvu” whose earlier version that was carried on demo tape was leaked onto the market.
“I don’t know how that song was leaked onto the market. However, it is not the original version that we are going to include on the album.

“In fact, they should come and hear for themselves the difference between the two versions because we will be playing the original one at the show,” Zhakata said.
He said he would be using the show to gauge the songs that he feels might make an impact on the accompanying DVD to the album.

“We are ready for the videos, whose concepts we will be working on from our shows, but we are not going to release the videos until we are sure they are complete because they might end up being snapped up by pirates and leaked onto the market,” Zhakata said.

Born on February 10, 1968, Zhakata rose to prominence with hits like “Hupenyu Mutoro”, “Batai Mazwi”, “Gomba Remarara” and the smash hits “Mugove” and “Maruva Enyika” among others.
His videos also earned him accolades.
