course at Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex, starting tomorrow.
The six-day course will be conducted by International Handball Federation instructor, Peter Kovac.
Two local instructors – Alphios Magiya and Liberty Maidza – will assist the IHF instructor. ZHF president, Amon Madzvamuse, said all provinces will be represented at this course as they aim to empower local coaches.
“We have got 40 participants coming for the course from the 10 provinces. Each and every province will be represented by four coaches.
“This course is the first of its kind in Zimbabwe . . . We haven’t done this before. We requested to the International Handball Federation for the course and the Sports Commission cleared us to have it.
“We are trying to bring the so-called big countries and engage them to merger with us so that we have technical knowledge, experience and resources we need to raise the game in our country,” said Madzvamuse.
The IHF instructor, Kovac, is expected to arrive in the country this afternoon.
