FOR every 500 matches there should be at least one inquiry through the Tourism Investment Matchmaking Platforms by the end of the fourth quarter, Zimbabwe Investment Development Agency (ZIDA) chief executive officer Mr Tafadzwa Chinamo has said.

The matchmaking platform which is being launched today will allow tourism promoters and investors to access information on potential investment in the country.

The platform is meant to increase investment in the tourism sector.

The online platform will allow players in the tourism sector to advertise their businesses to attract investors from both local and international markets.

Mr Chinamo said Zimbabwe has vast opportunities in tourism investment and other sectors but lack of information is affecting the increase in investment.

To promote ease of doing business in terms of investment, registration and licensing of investments in Zimbabwe, ZIDA has introduced a one stop shop where officers from different sectors are represented and service providers are also there.

This Mr Chinamo said it has reduced time consumption.
