Zifa Bulawayo announces affiliation fees

According to the provincial boss, Horace Ndubiwa, fees have been pegged at $600 for all teams while player registration has been pegged at $4 per player.
“Our affiliation fees have been set at $600 while the player licence fees are $4 although the national body had said licence fees should be $10 at our general meeting.
“However, since we had already submitted our budget, we decided to stick with our initial budget in order to avoid straining teams who would have had to revise their budgets too,” he said.

Ndubiwa said teams that still owe the league should clear their debts before being registered.
“We also have teams that were demoted  from Division One and if any of them owed something there, we urge those teams to settle their debts too,” said the former Highlanders secretary.

The league has 18 teams participating in Division Two while 16 are in Division Three.
Meanwhile, Ndubiwa said his province will soon approach the national mother body to ask for exemption from the proposed centralised registration as they had already passed their budget.

He, however, welcomed the move.
“Although we are very supportive and  happy about the centralisation of player registration since it will help clear a lot of                 shady and unclear dealings, we will try to talk to the mother body to maybe have a step-by-step process whereby upper leagues are focused on first and then our leagues would be dealt with in 2013.

“Teams would struggle to register their  players in the central system especially looking at the time frame we have got,” he said.
He expressed hope that all would go well with the mother body in their meeting that is set for next weekend.

The Zifa Bulawayo League is set to kick off on 1 April.
