THE Zifa Normalisation Committee chairman Lincoln Mutasa will lead a three-member delegation to the 46th Confederation of African Football (Caf) ordinary general assembly in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Yvonne Manwa, the Zifa chief executive officer, and Normalisation Committee member, Nyasha Samanyandwe, will accompany Mutasa.
Mutasa confirmed on Saturday that they would be travelling to Ethiopia.

This year’s assembly marks Ethiopia’s second opportunity to host the Caf Congress, having previously done so in 2017.
With the event set to bring together officials from Caf member associations, zonal unions, and global football figures, Ethiopia’s preparations reflect its readiness to be at the centre of African football discussions.
A series of zonal union meetings will be held between October 20-21, including sessions for Cosafa, West African Football Union A and B, UNIFFAC, Cecafa and UNAF as well as the meeting of the Caf Executive Committee ensuring all are actively involved in the pre-congress deliberations.
The agenda for the congress day will feature key discussions about the future of African football, followed by a press conference with Caf president Patrice Motsepe.

Notably, a friendly match at the Addis Ababa Stadium on October 21, featuring Caf and Fifa officials and legends, will add a festive touch to the proceedings.
Ethiopia, known for its rich cultural heritage and love for sports, has always been a key player in the development of football on the continent.
The nation has a proud history of hosting significant sporting events and visitors to the capital, Addis Ababa, can expect to experience warm hospitality, historical landmarks, and a city that is a melting pot of African unity. – cafonline
