Organisers of the 2024 Zimbabwe Cup Clash have urged both winning and losing finalists to remain focused.
The lyrical battle is held each year on the last day of the Zimbabwe Agricultural Show at the City Sports Centre in Harare.
This year’s edition was co-hosted by Chipaz Promotion in partnership with Chillspot Family.
Rising chanter Libho won the men’s contest while I Candy aka Madzimai outshone other female contestants.
Music promoter, Partson “Chipaz’ Chimbodza, urged both winners and losing finalists to remain committed to their work.
“We treat all the participants who took part in the event as winners,” he said.
“The contest was tight but we appreciate that fans voted for the new generation of Zimdancehall stars.
“The platform they got will change many lives. In previous contests, we have seen some losing finalists getting international bookings after showcasing their talent at the event.”
Similar sentiments were shared by DJ Fantan whose clique (Chillspot Family) celebrated their 12th anniversary at the event.
“To the losers, do not lose hope try again next time. Many thanks to all the fans who voted and attended, promoters, industry leaders, DJs, media personalities, and sponsors who made this event possible,” he said.
“After a fantastic weekend at the City Sports Centre where we hosted the much talked about Cup Clash and Chillspot anniversary allow us in this time to say thank you.
“Thank you to all the fans who came to support the event the genre and the upcoming artists. Thank you to the upcoming talents who showed up to showcase their talents. Congratulations to the winners Libho, Madzimai and Kadiki not forgetting Outstanding Sound Svikiro Sound System. You are truly our Zimdancehall champions for the year 2024 and beyond.”
