Zim duo in Sunshine Tour

TWO Zimbabwean golfers, Mark Williams and Mohamed Rauf Mandhu, will take part in the Sunshine Tour’s Sun Fish River Challenge tournament at the Fish River Sun Country Club in South Africa this morning. The tournament has a winner’s cheque of nearly R119 000.

The two are returning to the course barely five days after they took part in another Sunshine Tour event, the Vodacom Origins of Golf, where they failed to make the cut last Friday.

Williams will be expected to do well despite missing out last week after a disappointing eight-over par in two rounds saw him failing to make the cut.

The player had done well in the other event, the Sun River Challenge, when he made the cut by finishing at two-under after the three rounds and pocketed R12 165.

Williams will be the first on the course when he joins Doug McGuigan and Titch Moore at 8:20am this morning while Mandhu will follow a few minutes later with Dongkwan Kim and Jacques P de Villiers as his partners at 9:30am.
