Zim Food Expo moved to Thursday

Business Reporter
THE Zimbabwe Food Conference and Expo has been moved to tomorrow due to the need to give some Government ministers who were moved in the recent Cabinet reshuffle to ac- climatise.

Some of the ministers to feature on

the panel on the Zim-Asset discussions have moved offices and the organisers felt

the need to give the new ministers time to familiarise themselves with their new portfolios.

The conference has attracted regional interest as a delegation from the Grain Traders Association of Zambia will grace the occasion, conference chief executive officer Mr Alois Burutsa has said.

He said the Zambian association had reserved more than 600 000 metric tonnes of maize for Zimbabwe, signalling the private sector’s efforts to assist Government to improve food security.

“In response to recommendations by stakeholders at the ZFCE breakfast launch last week, we have invited the Zambian Grain Traders Association so that we can share notes. They have confirmed their attendance, so we are excited,” said Mr Burutsa.
