Zim golf trio misses out

ZIMBABWE professional golfers Stuart Krog, Greg Bentley and Nyasha Muyambo failed to make the cut at the Alfred Dunhill qualifiers yesterday. 

The trio were part of the field that played at the Benoni Country Club in east Gauteng, South Africa. After the failure by the trio to make the final field Zimbabwe will now be represented by Robson Chinhoi and Ben Follet-Smith who are Sunshine Tour exempted players.

Alfred Dunhill qualifiers saw a total of 97 players fighting for the ten slots which were up for grabs for the four-day tournament that tees off tomorrow.

Krog was the best performer after he carded a two-under-par 70 but could not make the grade which saw the projected cut pegged at six-under. Bentley who is making return to the tour after several months finished on two-over as Muyambo was a shot behind on three-over-par.
