The country recorded 117 new Covid-19 positive cases and one death in the last 24 hours.
All provinces except Mashonaland West recorded Covid -19 cases, with Harare recording the highest number: 28 cases.
Bulawayo recorded 21 cases, Manicaland 15, Mashonaland East and Mashonaland Central recorded four and 16 respectively, while Midlands recorded 11 cases.
Masvingo recorded four cases while Matabeleland North and Matabeleland South recorded three and 15 cases respectfully.
The Covid-19 death was recorded in Mashonaland East.
A total of 1959 PCR tests were conducted.
“As of 17 December, 2020, Zimbabwe has now recorded 11 866 cases 9 836 recoveries and 314 deaths,” said the Ministry of Health and Child Care in its daily update
