“We believe this is the easiest way to highlight our weaknesses as we are preparing for the World Cup qualifiers.
“Playing Zambia is the best thing to do for our team and that is why we have invited them and we are glad that they confirmed their participation,” said Kawonza.
The Plate semi-final is expected to start at 11am. The Cup semi-final promises to be exciting as the top teams from National Rugby League will play the Metro league teams.
Chairman of Harare Province, Sifiso Made, said the teams will take a break tomorrow.
“It is important that the teams get enough time for preparations and polish up as they are now in the semi-finals.
“The metro will only commence next week so that the teams can prepare well to make the game more competitive and exciting,” said Made.
The Tobacco Industry team features some players who used to dominate the stage in the ‘90s.
Clint Robinson used to play for the national team while Reginald Chigumira was a top player.
“It is good that we have the old guard playing young blood,” said Made.
