ZIMBABWE squads for the CAF African Schools Football Championship commenced a 10-day training camp at the weekend to begin preparations for the regional tournament.

The upcoming CAF youth football tournament, scheduled for December 14-16, will be hosted in Zimbabwe at Gateway High School in Harare.

The provisional squads for both the Under-15 boys and Under-15 girls converged at Direct Contact Private School in Mandara, yesterday.

The training camp will run until December 12, where coaches will select the final squads consisting of 20 players for the boys’ team and 15 for the girls’ team.

The ZIFA Normalisation Committee last week appointed Norman Taruvinga and Irene Mwanza as the head coaches of the Under-15 boys and girls’ teams for the upcoming CAF African Schools Football Championship.
