INTERNATIONAL investors are set to descend on Zimbabwe for a groundbreaking global investment conference which is billed to become the largest gathering of international investors and industry leaders in Africa.
The 2026 Global Investment Conference, designed to promote Investment in Africa’s Infrastructure Development and Smart Technology Sectors, will be held in Harare from March 12 – 14, 2026.
The conference is being organised by Harare-based Bluefin International Group, Koche Investments and their international partners.
“Bluefin International Group, in partnership with leading global investors, financial institutions, and industry players, today announces preparations for the 2026 Global Investment Conference – the largest gathering of international investors and industry leaders dedicated to accelerating Africa’s infrastructure development and smart-technology ecosystems,” Bluefin chief operating officer, Mr Charles Nyabaya, said in a statement.
“We aim to Bring together the world’s foremost investors, developers, and policymakers to unlock capital for Africa’s critical infrastructure projects, transportation, energy to digital connectivity and smart-city initiatives.”
The global conference is coming at a time when Zimbabwe is continuing to capture the attention of global investors keen to tap into the country’s friendly investment environment.
It also aligns with President Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030 agenda which seeks to propel the country into an upper middle economy by year 2030.
Mr Nyabaya said their vision is to unite global investors and financial institutions with investment opportunities in Zimbabwe and its Africa at large.
He added that the conference is aimed at accelerating economic growth through smart technology, highlighting opportunities in fintech, clean energy, IoT, 5G/edge computing, and AI-driven urban solutions that can transform economies and improve quality of life is the ultimate agenda.
“This event will work on methods of simplifying investment processes for all projects, demonstrate and enable practical pathways for investment including transparent regulatory guidance, risk mitigation strategies, and on-the-ground partnerships that streamline due diligence, funding, and project execution,” Mr Nyabaya said.
Delegates to the conference will include the global Investors, managers of sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, private equity and venture capital firms, family offices, and asset managers from around the world.
The panels will consist of industry leaders, leadership sessions featuring former and current Heads of State and government ministers, chief executives of blue-chip corporations, and renowned technology pioneers.
Mr Nyabaya said the event will showcase detailed case studies and live demonstrations of bankable projects across the infrastructure development, energy, transport, water, digital infrastructure, and smart-city solutions.
He said investors and all stakeholders will be able to participate in deal-matching and partnerships: structured opportunities for project finance, public-private partnerships, blended finance, and strategic collaborations.
Regulatory and policy dialogues will be showcased by forums with regulators and policymakers to address investment barriers, transparency, governance, and environmental and social governance alignment.
