Zim U-13 rugby squad suffer second defeat in SA

ZIMBABWE Under-13 side have found the going tough after suffering their second defeat against Griquas at the Craven Week Rugby Festival in Hoërskool Rob Ferreira in Mpumalanga, South Africa, yesterday.

The Young Sables lost 7-15.

Kudzaishe Maringa was the only player to score a try for the Young Sables that was converted by Brendon Mason.

After being thrashed 0-40 by Blue Bulls in the festival opener, the Zimbabwean side had hoped to do well in their following fixture.

The Under-13s are under the guidance of Gordon Pangeti.

Team manager, Tan Dinhidza, told our correspondent yesterday that his boys improved from how they performed in their first match.

“The boys must play to their full potential because in our match against Griquas we had a lot of opportunities to win the game but made a lot of basic errors.

“We are frustrated, but we just have to pick ourselves up and ensure the boys are motivated to finish the festival well,” said Dinhidza.
