BORROWDALE Park and racecourse will host the Zimbabwe Challenge where Jet Mirage is expected to do well in the 1 450m race this afternoon.
Jet Mirage off the Debra Swanson yard will have Jefrey Syster on the irons and is expected to fight six other runners in the 1450 meters.
The seven-year-old chestnut gelding will be expected to be at his best form when he takes to the starting stalls.
Also in the starting stalls will be former Republic Cup winner Jager Moon who will have Norbert Takawira as the pilot.
Borrowdale park last held a racing event on December 29 when the held the Champion Fillies won by African Beat.
Today’s feature race will also have seasoned runners in Action Zone.
Action Zone” is a successful racehorse in Zimbabwe, known for winning several feature races at Borrowdale Park, most notably the US$50,000 Castle Tankard grade one race in May 2025.
The horse was also named the Borrowdale Park Horse of the Year for the 2024/25 season.
Also in the line-up will six-year-old Ideal View a former MTC Challenge winner.
Swanson will have three runners with Thomas mason, Gavin McLeod, Bridget Stido and Amy Parham will provide a single runner each.
