ZIMBABWE is gearing up for a major gathering of Government, business and financiers next week as Zimbabwe hosts a Zimbabwe–China Investment Symposium 2026 aimed at turning decades of diplomatic warmth into new industrial, infrastructure and trade ties.
The symposium, scheduled for July 2 in Harare, comes at a time when China has become one of Zimbabwe’s most visible economic partners, with Beijing backing projects and industries across the region and internationally through financing, technology and supply chains.
Zimbabwe’s organisers, Africapaciti Investment Group, say the meeting is intended to translate that momentum into investment commitments that support the country’s National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2).
The company’s public relations and marketing officer, Miss Precious Mpanduki, said the symposium is positioned as a negotiating table where Zimbabwe’s investment needs meet China’s appetite for stable, resource-connected partnerships.
“As Zimbabwe continues to pursue its National Development Strategy 2 (NDS2) and Vision 2030 objectives, the symposium seeks to create meaningful engagement between government leaders, investors, development partners, financial institutions, industry captains, and policymakers from both countries,” said Miss Mpanduki.
“The symposium seeks to facilitate dialogue and collaboration between key stakeholders to identify and unlock investment opportunities across priority sectors of Zimbabwe’s economy while promoting a conducive environment for Chinese investment and strategic partnerships.
“The Zimbabwe–China Investment Symposium 2026 represents a significant milestone in advancing bilateral cooperation and creating sustainable pathways for economic growth and investment.
“By convening influential decision-makers and stakeholders from both nations, the symposium will catalyse transformative partnerships that contribute to industrialisation, innovation, and shared prosperity.
“Through strategic dialogue and collaborative action, the symposium seeks to unlock Zimbabwe’s vast economic potential while reinforcing the enduring relationship between Zimbabwe and China,” said Miss Mpanduki.
