Zimbabwe Darts head to Namibia

THE Zimbabwe national darts side is expected to leave the country for the Zone Six Darts championships this morning.

The competition to be held in Namibia will start tomorrow and end on September 3. 

Zimbabwe who are the defending champions will face Botswana, Zambia, Eswatini and hosts Namibia.

National Darts Association of Zimbabwe (Ndaz) secretary Lethukuthula Nkomo said the team is ready for the tournament.

The national side was selected during the Heroes Day Darts competition which was held at Founders High School in Bulawayo earlier in the month.

The Bulawayo duo of Bright Mabuza and Joshua Jabangwe scooped gold in the Open Doubles after beating Salesio Gunda and Othenial Makwara from Manicaland.

In the Closed Doubles, Mgcini Nkala and Garai Simbanegavi won gold after beating Kudzie Nyemba and Tawanda Hodzi of Mashonaland West.

Junior Men: Tinodashe Mabika, Trust Ncube

Veterans: Basil Green, Peter Mulukula
