Zimbabwe Defence Forces takes medical outreach to Mangwe

The Zimbabwe Defence Forces (ZDF) are making a positive impact in Mangwe, Matabeleland South Province, through their medical outreach and Eye Cataract operation programme.

This initiative is part of the ZDF’s 2025 Community Assistance Week, showcasing their commitment to giving back to the community.

The medical outreach, which began on July 28, 2025, is being held at Bango Clinic, while the Eye Cataract Operations programme started at Maphisa Clinic and will run until August 7, 2025.

Colonel Dr Mathias Mukona is leading the ZNA medical team and performing the eye cataract operations.

As of today, several individuals have received free medical treatment and eye cataract operations, benefiting the communities of Bango, Maphisa, Kezi, Mabonyane and Brunaburg.

The medical outreach demonstrates the ZDF’s dedication to improving communities and the lives of Zimbabweans.
