Zimbabwe go down to Rwanda

ZIMBABWE wrapped up their group games at the ongoing African Men’s Junior Nations Handball Championship with another defeat on Tuesday in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire.

They lost 16-32 to Rwanda in their last Group A game.

It has been a tough outing for Zimbabwe, losing all their Group A matches against hosts Cote d’Ivoire, Guinea and Rwanda.

Guinea topped Group A and advance to the quarterfinals together with second-placed Rwanda.

Zimbabwe and Cote d’Ivoire are now battling it out in the placement play-offs.

The other teams that progressed to the last eight are Angola, Nigeria, Tunisia, Libya, Egypt and Democratic Republic of the Congo from the other groups.

The 16-team tournament is running until Saturday.
