The Zimbabwe Independent editor, Faith Zaba, has appeared in court facing charges of publishing material that allegedly undermined the authority of President Mnangagwa.

Zaba appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Vakayi Chikwekwe.

The State applied for a postponement of the bail hearing to tomorrow.

Prosecutor Mr Takudzwa Jambawo told the court that the postponement of the bail application has been necessitated by the presentation of documents which contain the medical history of the accused person which they need to take into consideration before entertaining the bail application.

Zaba’s lawyer said he was not happy with the State postponing the bail hearing, considering that his client is unwell.
