THE Zimbabwean businesses delegation in Windhoek has intensified trade engagements with their Namibian counterparts as the two countries seek to deepen economic ties with focus on collaborative partnerships to unlock mutually beneficial development gains.

As the outward trade mission enters Day-2 on Thursday, the country’s business delegation, comprised mainly of players in the agriculture value chain, has just completed direct business-to- business engagement with Namibian officials at the neighbouring country’s government complex.
The three-day outward mission is organised by ZimTrade, the country’s trade development and promotion agency and ends Friday.

Key deliberations were focused on understanding regulatory critical obligations, registration and licensing requirements and processes affecting certain product lines.
Zimbabwe is eager to penetrate the Namibian market with it’s quality product and service offering covering a range of sub-sectors including animal health, horticulture, disease and pest control, livestock, and beef value addition, research and advisors, among others.
Namibian officials appreciated Zimbabwe’s efforts and expressed desire to cement collaborative partnerships, tapping into Zimbabwe’s expertise and for skills transfer in diverse sectors.
Zimbabwean businesses also utilised the opportunity to ask questions and pitch their product offerings and competences justifying why the Namibian market is strategic for Zimbabwe and the whole region.
