Zimbabwe National Road Administration open for business at the ZITF

Zinara has diligently taken up its position as a partner for progress in Zimbabwe’s roads infrastructure maintenance cause through the committed discharge of its mandate.

As the administration is established to fix, collect and disburse road user fees for the purposes of road infrastructure maintenance, Zinara has put in place vital infrastructure and resources to ensure the effective delivery of this mandate.

This includes setting up various centres for business and enlisting the support of licensing agents across the country. The Zinara ZITF office, is one such centre established to facilitate ease of doing business and to ensure members of the public access the full suite of Zinara services under one roof.

This is in addition to the other Zinara office located in the Bulawayo CBD. Zinara operates from Monday to Friday; 8AM to 4:30PM and on Saturday 8AM- 11:30AM.

The Zinara ZITF office offers the following services:

λ Vehicle licensing

λ Radio licensing

λ Prepaid card cash top-ups

λ Frequent Travellers Express Pass (FTEP) payments

We also have on-site insurance services offered by ZIMPOST & Sanctuary Insurance. In addition to the services above, Zinara provides fleet licensing solutions for companies with 10 or more vehicles.

Corporate clients can open accounts to efficiently license their entire fleet and bulk licensing payments can be processed via bank transfer.

Zinara’s friendly and well qualified staff are always ready to answer any questions and ensure a smooth licensing experience. All Zinara employees work on site inside the licensing office and can be identified by official branded uniform.

Further to facilitating licensing services in Bulawayo, Zinara also has a resident technical team set up to support with disbursements as well as monitoring and evaluation of roads infrastructure projects undertaken in the region.

These serve to facilitate disbursements through assessment of projects and reviews of acquittals submitted by Road Authorities in order to ensure high quality delivery on projects and accountability in the use of allocated resources.

As at April 2024, Zinara funded the rehabilitation of Waverly Road where the bituminous concrete overlay was done while the Belmont section of Plumtree Road also underwent rehabilitation and road markings. Additionally, Zinara funded the resurfacing of Ntabazinduna road which connects Ntabazinduna to the Bulawayo-Harare Road.

Meanwhile, other projects have commenced around the city and Zinara remains diligent in ensuring improved and sustainable road infrastructure maintenance works across the country.
