Zimbabwe population up 16,2pc, preliminary census results show

Zimstat director general Taguma Mahonde has officially announced preliminary census results during a press briefing that was held in Harare today.

Zimbabwe’s population now stands at 15 178 979 of which 7 289 558 are male and 7 889 421 are female.

The number of households in 2022 was 3 818 992 which shows an increase from 2012’s figure of 3 059 016.

There has been an overall population increase of 16.2 percent.
