The Zimbabwe Property Expo 2025 is set to return for its second edition, shining a spotlight on sustainability and innovation in the country’s booming real estate sector, now valued at over US$11 billion.

Scheduled to take place later this year, the event aims to connect key players in the real estate, infrastructure and investment sectors, while promoting eco-friendly and future-ready developments.

“The role of sustainability in the property sector is rapidly growing in importance, driven by climate change concerns, regulatory shifts, cost efficiency and increasing demand from investors and consumers,” said Mr Morgan Makamure, general manager of the Zimbabwe Property Expo 2025.

“In Zimbabwe and globally, sustainable real estate is no longer a niche trend, it is a competitive necessity.”

Zimbabwe’s property market is currently growing at an average rate of 5 percent annually, with increased urbanisation and infrastructure development fuelling demand for smart, green and affordable housing options.

“In an environment characterised by new urban development projects and rapid growth, we offer an ideal platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, form long-term partnerships and explore market trends,” he said.

This year’s expo will feature live seminars, networking opportunities and project showcases, with a focus on sustainable housing, smart city solutions and climate-conscious infrastructure.

Participants will include homebuyers, developers, investors, economists and analysts.

“Whether you are expanding your portfolio, seeking strategic partnerships, or exploring the latest market trends, Zimbabwe Property Expo is where the world of property and real estate comes to connect, learn and grow,” Mr Makamure said.

Mr Samuel Mapingusa, chief executive officer Zimbabwe Property Expo, said the event is a timely platform to align the sector with global sustainability goals.

“This expo is not just an event, it is a gateway to partnerships, trends and opportunities that will define the next decade of real estate in Zimbabwe.”

With its mix of high-value offerings and commitment to sustainability, he said, the Zimbabwe Property Expo 2025 is poised to be a game-changer for the country’s real estate industry.
