A TOTAL of 5 399 people have succumbed to Covid-19 since the start of the pandemic early last year with 60 deaths recorded on March 6.
All 60 deaths are from all the country ‘s 10 provinces.
According to the Ministry of Health and Child Care
(MOHCC), the country had recorded 228 744 recoveries and 5 399 deaths as at March 6.
As at the same date, a total of 1 713 tests were conducted.
As of 6 March at 1500hrs, there were 69 hospitalised cases with seven new admissions, five asymptomatic 60 mild to moderate and four in severe conditions.
According to the MOHCC, Mashonaland East province continues to dominate the country’s provincial list with 10 new cases and 1 089 deaths.
