ZIMBABWE So-Kyokushin Karate-Do Organisation will this week hold seminars for athletes and referees as they brace for their selection tournament slated for Saturday and Sunday.
The athletes’ technical skills seminar is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, with the referees/judges’ seminar set to run from Wednesday to Friday.
Both seminars will take place at Raylton Sports Club ahead of the two-day Zimbabwe So-Kyokushin Karate National Selection tournament to be staged at Chitungwiza Aquatic Complex on Saturday and Sunday.
Zimbabwe So-Kyokushin Karate-Do Organisation branch chief Samson Muripo confirmed the seminars will be conducted by Japanese instructors.
“The seminars will be conducted by Uchideshi Naoto Kusakabe and Sensei Marty Yamagata directly from Japan,” said Muripo.
Some of the karatekas are also preparing for the dan technical promotion on Friday.
