Zimbabwe strikes early as New Zealand gains lead on Day Two at Queens Sports Club

THREE wickets in the first session have brought Zimbabwe back into the match although New Zealand have now taken the lead on day two at Queens Sports Club.

The day resumed with the Blackcaps on 92/0 trailing by 57 runs. Blessing Muzarabani struck with the first ball, getting Will Young caught for his overnight 41 runs off 70 deliveries.

The lanky fast bowler struck again in the 45th over, breaking a 66-run second wicket partnership between Devon Conway and Henry Nicholls. He had Nicholls caught by Brian Bennett for 34 runs off 56 deliveries.

Sikandar Raza, who has been troubling the New Zealand batters got Rachin Ravindra caught at slip by Craig Ervine for just two runs off 10 balls, bringing Daryl Mitchell into the middle.

Conway is going strong on 87 runs, closing in on his fifth Test century.
