THE Zimbabwe Under-19 women’s team beat Rhinos by nine wickets in a Women’s T20 League match played at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo on Monday.
The 11-woman squad led by captain Lorraine Pemhiwa consisted of Beloved Biza, Buhlebenkosi Maphosa, Charmaine Manyukwi, Christina Mutasa, Makanaka Zinyama Naomi Mhlekwa, Nicolette Nyika, Salem Museka, Tawananyasha Zvomarima and Vanessa Mayedza.
The team leads Mega Market Mountaineers, Rhinos, Tuskers and Eagles who are taking part in the competition and ends on Tuesday when the final is played.
The youth Lady Chevrons managed 108 runs for the loss of one wicket with Mutasa contributing half a century (62).
She hit 10 fours and a single six.
Mutasa earned herself the player of the match award.
