Zimbabwe Women’s Premier Soccer League mourns Gogo Musikavanhu

THE Zimbabwe Women’s Premier Soccer League has sent its commiserations to the football fraternity following the death of Faithdrive Academy founder Gogo Nelia Musikanhu who died in Mutare this morning.
She was 72.

Gogo Musikavanhu is regarded as an iconic figure of the women’s football movement with her Mutare-based nursery giving this country countless stars, including outstanding talent that has played for the Mighty Warriors.

As the country continues to digest the sad news, the ZWPSL has crafted a moving condolence in her honour.

In a statement, they said: “The Zimbabwe Women’s Premier Soccer League extends its heartfelt condolences to the Faithdrive Academy family following the passing of Gogo Nelia Musikavanhu, the club’s owner.

“We mourn this great loss and pray that her family, friends, and the entire Faithdrive Academy community find strength and comfort during this difficult time. May her soul rest in eternal peace.”
Burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
