A United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based Zimbabwean businessman, Mr Bekokuhle Dube, has been honoured for his outstanding professionalism and excellence, receiving the Best African Owned Travel Brand award at the 2025

Professional Excellence Awards held in Dubai last Saturday.
With his travel agency company, Esytravelex, Mr Dube said the main thing that made his company outstanding was the adoption of technology, which has simplified the visa and payment processes.

“We are very excited with this milestone, just yesterday we were an upcoming travel agency, but today we have been recognised by one of the most reputable boards in the UAE,” said Mr Dube.

“We would like to thank our customers who have been supporting us since the first day. They always refer new customers to us, and because of them, we are here.

“We want to thank our hard-working staff from the UAE, South Africa, and Zimbabwe. They work tirelessly to defend the brand and ensure smooth traveling. I also want to thank my family and friends for the support they have contributed towards the growth of the brand.”

Being in the tourism sector, Mr Dube said marketing the destination Zimbabwe is their core business, saying that at any given opportunity, they invite people from all corners of the world to visit the country and experience great tourism adventures and investment opportunities.

“As the chief executive officer of Easytravelex, I draw inspiration from Honorable Isau F Mupfumi for outstanding excellence in the transportation and tourism industry and from the vision of the Tourism and Hospitality Industry

Minister Barbara Rwodzi of continuing to build the tourism of our country and showcasing our rich heritage,” said Mr Dube.

Meanwhile, Mr Dube said the next big project, which Easytravelex is working on, is a five-star hotel named Golden Easytravelex Hotel that is already underway.

He said the project, with its first branch located in Bulawayo, is expected to be completed in December 2026. END
