ZIMBABWEAN footballer Nkosilomusa Khanye impressed in his debut game on Sunday  for Young Stars Football Club who play in Botswana’s First Devion South League.

Khanye was signed in January this year from the Zifa Southern Region Division One side Quality Foods.

The centre forward came in as a substitute with five minutes left before half time against Matebejana. Three minutes after the break, the 23-year-old scored a rebound to make the score line 2-0 for the Stars.

Khanye uses his pace to subtract opponents and has power to shoot from afar. He showed some moment of brilliance in the dying minutes when he dribbled past a Matebejana defender and assisted goal number three for Young Stars and the match ended 3-0 in favour of the Young Stars.

Young Stars, who are looking forward to play in the Premiership next season are piling pressure on log leaders Matebele as there are sitting in fifth position and there are trailing by six points with eight games left.

Khanye has an eye for a goal as he played 17 games for Bulawayo City in 2019 season in the Zifa Southern Region Division One League, scored 14 goals and provided six assists.

Last year, he finished his season playing for Quality Foods FC where he managed to score four goals in five outings. -@Chichi
