With the countdown firmly underway, innovators and enterprises across Zimbabwe are urged to submit their entries for the inaugural Zimpapers Innovation Awards 2025 ahead of the fast-approaching deadline.

All nominations must be received by December 31, 2025.

The prestigious awards, launched by the nation’s largest integrated media group, aim to identify and celebrate transformative local innovations across sectors, including technology, sustainable development, healthcare, and the creative industries.

Awards coordinator and Zimpapers Head of Business Hub and Events, Mr Kudzanai Sharara, highlighted the dual opportunity for nominees.

“The calibre of entries received thus far has been truly impressive, reflecting the dynamic spirit of innovation thriving in our nation,” Mr Sharara stated.

“We are particularly pleased to confirm that all qualified nominations and their innovations will be featured in a commemorative journal to be published and distributed on the awards day. This provides a permanent record of Zimbabwean ingenuity in 2025.”

With the deadline looming, Mr Sharara issued a final encouragement for submissions.

“We urge all individuals, SMEs, and corporates with eligible innovations launched between January 2024 and December 2025 to ensure their nominations are submitted before the December 31 closing period. Do not miss this chance for national recognition.”

Furthermore, Mr Sharara extended an invitation for commercial partnerships. “We are also calling on potential sponsors to partner with Zimpapers in this seminal initiative.

“Supporting these awards aligns your brand with the forefront of Zimbabwean progress and offers unrivalled engagement with the country’s most brilliant minds.”

The establishment of the awards underscores Zimpapers’ strategic commitment to fostering national advancement.

The initiative seeks to ignite a pervasive culture of innovation, showcase home-grown excellence on a regional and global stage, and catalyse economic growth by connecting pioneers with opportunity.

Entries will be judged by a distinguished panel of industry leaders, academics, and specialists on criteria including originality, impact, scalability, and sustainability. Winners will gain extensive acclaim across the Zimpapers media network, alongside enhanced credibility and networking opportunities.
