Masvingo Province is set to come alive this month as the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in Zimbabwe will be hosting its National Youth Elevation Conference from April 9 to 12.
Some of the country’s most prominent gospel voices are set to headline the four-day event, with highlights including ZimPraise Choir, celebrating their 20th anniversary with the ZimPraise Legacy Night, Takesure Zamar leading ministry and worship sessions, and the dynamic Joyfull Praise Choir, renowned for their spirit-filled performances.
South African worshipper Sbu Noah will bring his soulful brand of worship to Rufaro Conference Centre in Chatsworth, while other featured artistes such as The Unveiled, Worshipper L Gunda, Nyasha Mutonhori, Baba and Mai Cherai, Vabati Vajehova, and Wesley Nyamukuta promise a diverse and electrifying musical experience.
Leading the spiritual charge is Rev Dr Amon D Madawo, President of AFM in Zimbabwe, who has urged the youth to “do it again this year”, anticipating life-changing word and deliverance. Joining him is a roster of “fiery and anointed” speakers, including Pastor B Shonhiwa, National Youth Leader and key organiser of the Elevation movement; Pastor Thandanani Savhasa, AFM South Africa guest speaker and AFM International Youth President, celebrated for her focus on spiritual growth and leadership; and Pastor RB Matewe, who has called on attendees to come ready for a tangible move of God. One hundred thousand youths are expected to attend the event.
The conference also seeks to empower youth beyond spiritual growth. Delegates are encouraged to support the Rufaro Clinic building project, an initiative led by the Youth Department to strengthen local healthcare services.
Specialised sessions will tackle leadership development, entrepreneurship, and academic excellence, providing young people with practical tools for success alongside their spiritual enrichment.
