Zimra manager killed in traffic accident

The accident happened on Wednesday at around 7pm on the 2km peg along the Mvuma-Gweru Road.
Police identified the other person who died in the accident as Pretty Dzamiwa (23) a female adult from Zimuto Siding, Masvingo.

Midlands police spokesperson Inspector Patrick Chademana said Masotsha (51) was driving his Nissan Hardbody truck towards Gweru when the accident happened.
“The now deceased Masotsha was carrying one passenger in his car. On approaching the 2km peg, it is alleged that Masotsha encroached into the right lane and rammed into the wheels of a trailer of an oncoming haulage truck. Both Masotsha and his passenger died on the spot,” said Insp Chademana.

“The haulage truck was travelling  towards Mvuma and was being driven by one Fabiono Tavandira Mharadze (46) of Dulibadzimu, Beitbridge. He escaped unhurt.”
Insp Chademana said the bodies of the two were taken to Mvuma District Hospital mortuary to await a post-mortem.
