ZimTrade rolls out Export Awareness Seminar in Bulawayo

THE national trade development and promotion agency, ZimTrade is rolling out an Export Awareness Seminar in Bulawayo.

The seminar aims to share market insights and export opportunities recently identified in Uganda, Singapore and Beira.

A number of businesses from the Southern region of the country are in attendance. These businesses are from sectors such as fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), manufacturing, agriculture, clothing, retail trade, engineering, mining and tourism among others.

The event comes at a time Zimbabwe’s exports have seen a notable increase, rising by 55 percent from US$76.7 million in 2023 to US$119.2 million in 2024.

ZimTrade plays a crucial role in fostering and expanding the country’s export sector. It acts as a bridge between Zimbabwean businesses and international markets, providing support and resources to help companies compete effectively on a global scale.
