Zimuto wins Victoria Falls Marathon

TENDAI Zimuto underlined his status as one of the country’s greatest long distance runners after claiming top spot at the Econet Victoria Falls Marathon today.
Zimuto romped to victory in 2 hours 16 minutes 9 seconds.

He was competing against a strong field that featured last year’s winner Blessing Waison.
Sylvia Kwambai won the women’s title in 2 hours 46 minutes 6 seconds.

It was also a good day for Godwin Katakura as he emerged tops in the half marathon.
Katakura clocked 1 hour 4 minutes 29 seconds to win the race.

Mercy Chemutai won in the women’s category in 1 hour 15 minutes 47 seconds.
