THE Zimbabwe National Road Administration (ZINARA) has introduced a multi-currency e-wallet self-service platform that consolidates motorist payments for various vehicle-related and statutory services into a single digital hub.
The platform allows motorists to access and pay for services using smartphones or computers, with a dedicated USSD option available for those without smartphones.
In an emailed response, ZINARA said the platform was accessible through iOS, Android and web applications, offering motorists a convenient way to manage payments remotely.
“Through the platform, motorists can handle toll fees and top-ups through direct payment of toll fees and topping up existing prepaid tolling cards or accounts,” said the administration.
The platform also facilitates vehicle licensing, Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation (ZBC) radio licences and third-party vehicle insurance, including combined renewals.
ZINARA said users would be required to complete basic Know Your Customer (KYC) verification to access all the platform’s features and this involves uploading identification documents directly through the application.
The digital platform is expected to simplify access to the services by providing motorists with a centralised payment facility accessible through multiple devices
