adminLONDON. — Zlatan Ibrahimovic remained typically coy when questioned over his future following Paris Saint-Germain’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea on Wednesday.
Ibrahimovic (34) scored one and set up Adrien Rabiot for another to help the Parisians secure a comfortable 4-2 aggregate victory at Stamford Bridge.
The striker, who began his career at Swedish club Malmo, has now scored four goals and set up four assists in eight games in this season’s Champions League.
Some reports have linked him with a possible move to the English Premier League in the summer.
However, the former Juventus and Barcelona striker remained tight-lipped when questioned on his possible departure from the Parc des Princes.
“When I leave PSG? Okay you already said it,” said Ibrahimovic. “I have another three months with PSG, so for the moment I’m not talking to anybody. It’s not the moment for it.”
But Ibrahimovic said he has long been attracted to the prospect of playing in the English Premier League.
Ibrahimovic’s contract with Paris Saint-Germain is set to expire at the end of the season, prompting widespread speculation as to his next destination.
The 34-year-old striker, however, maintains he is not in talks with any suitors.
“I have another two months with PSG. I’m not in discussions with anyone,” Ibrahimovic told reporters after scoring in his side’s Champions League last-16 victory over Chelsea.
“Let’s see what happens. I’m not closing the door for anyone. I’ll put it on the table and see if it’s good for me and my family.”
Asked if the English top-flight appealed to him, Ibrahimovic said: “The Premier League has always been attractive.” — Sky Sports.
