CHAPMAN Golf Club will host the annual tee-off for health, a Zimbabwe Ladies Golf Union tournament, this morning.

The three-day event will run until Sunday.

The tournament is supported by the National Aids Council, Ministry of Health, Diagnostic Laboratories, Population Solutions for Health, Qiagen and Cancer Association of Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe stroke play will see the local women and men getting free cancer screening.

ZLGU president Olivia Nyamwanza said they are happy that they are hosting the tournament for the third year running and is hopeful that the competition will be bigger and better.

“We are expecting about 120 golfers from all our provinces namely Manicaland, Midlands, Hwange, Chiredzi, and Mutare.

“The World Golf ranking amateur tournament will attract top players who will be after points. It’s going to be a tough competition but I can assure that we will have a successful tournament. The event is set to conclude on Sunday.”
