Zimbabwe National Army commander Lieutenant General Asher Walter Tapfumanei is expected to officiate at the passout parade of intake 38C/01/24 at the Recruit Training Depot Imbizo Barracks today (Friday).

This will be the first pass-out parade for the ZNA commander to officiate after he took the role last year.

499 recruits will graduate, comprised of 373 males and 126 females, after undergoing an eight-month rigorous training regime to turn them into general duty soldiers.

They were drawn from all ten country’s provinces.

Senior Officers from other sister organisations and hundreds of parents and relatives are attending the ceremony.

The Recruit Training Depot was established in 1995.
