THE Sports Commission have taken steps to prepare Zimbabwe towards hosting the Zone VI Youth Games in Bulawayo later this year by announcing the managers and coaches for the athletes yesterday.
Zimbabwe is set to host the regional Youth Games in December and, of major concern, has been the slow pace of the construction programme for the proposed Games Village and other facilities.
The Government has undertaken to construct hostels at the National University of Technology campus while it has also been proposed to build a basketball court, a netball court and a swimming pool.
Sources at the Sports Commission said the constructor for the Games Village has not yet started work.
